Title: Turok Forums Steam group
Post by: Duke64 on September 20, 2016, 07:12:37 PM
Turok Sanctum:

As some of us already know our old Turok steam group was shut down due to a dmca and a link that was shared. Now its time to make a new one this time not allowing any links like that to be shared. We will do it right this time and to be sure of it I got admins and mods to help from here :) You all should join Some of us are already here. I will invite more people soon once things look a little better on there. Anyways just another fun steam group aye.

That would be nice. I was thinking you know I could invite everyone on my friends list and we would have like 200 something members. But should I? Or should we just try to keep members from here so we find each other? I could make this group bigger but I think hey I kind of like how its mostly just ppl from here.

To be honest, what would having that many members do? I dont think the amount of members would make any difference like making the game more well known, specially if some people are just doing you a favor, unless those people you know are hardcore doom/doom-clone fans, in which case I can see them liking this game.

Personally I would make it a public group. The game has a small enough following so that it wouldnt attract annoying users, and if they do they would be just a handful which would be easy to clean up.

All of my friends on steam are either fans of or have worked on Turok, Duke, or Doom literally hehe and most all of them are like classic fps fans generally :) You are right about Turok community being small though we see splashes on steam when the game released which is a good sign I guess. The facebook gets some action also. We could make the group bigger for sure. I know there are ppl here who I haven't invited and you know its because I have to many friends on the list to like keep up on there tbh and I do try mostly message ppl who message me hehe. Its hard for me especially name changes I would have to invite entire list xD So far the most success steam group I made was http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DukeNukemBegins#
