Guys, what engine you want, if Turok Remake will be make? I think Crysis 1 ( my rules is game for everyone not only for these who have super strong PC :)

Now I have - Core 2 Duo 2,66 hz, 4 GB ram, Gainward GT 630 2 GB DDr3 :) and Prey, Far Cry 1 working good in high detailes in resolution 640x480 I love this resolution ;)

But my remake will be just this same Turok what in 1997 (these same weapons with my modern alternative :) these
same enemies, levels etc but in new engine look.

Imagine this scene in Turok on Crysis Engine :D

I think if you were going to do this, you should choose the engine you are most comfortable with. Also, I think the tree shooting would be a pretty awesome feature with raptors in the bushes/trees. Branches, wood chips, and leaves could fall clearing paths for further exploration.

I never play Turok 2008 and  I'm not going. Best Turok is 1 :) Turok 2 will be great if they change weapons from those from part 1.

Interesting video indeed, I never checked the cry engine out before. I think you have to pay monthly to have it though. But it seems really familiar to the unreal engine which is free but I wonder why there is a fee for this one. Is it better or easier to use this then UDK or Unity I wonder?

Interesting concepts and ideas there. Predator is a good reference though because he really used the environment to hunt. And Arnold used the environment right back against him and won! So maybe you want to throw that in there, using the environment to survive in certain places?

Guys I have new ideas about Turok Remak. I'm still playing Brutal Doom and one of good ideas is all sort of granades, claymore bomb etc :) other nice thing is like brutal doom is you can shoot in all part of enemy. Raptor run into you, shoot to him from shotgun in one leg and he falling down, with blood. If you use grenade launcher he exploed on many pices like in brutal doom. Of course in settings you can on - off brutal option :D About weapons, in modern style you have weapons list like in Max Payne 1, up menu on each number key. Many different guns.

I also love classic Turok Dinosaur Hunter, but it will be nice to feel more blood in the Jungle :)

Other thing
what is a cloud road??? Special Version or what???  3:53 min. I must check in my PC version.

Hell yeah Brutal Doom and Max Payne are awesome references. They both have some really good special effects in there games. I think Turok would be awesome on the Doom engine for something like a  Brutal Turok :D I would probably help if on the Doom engine but I am not very experienced in the mapping yet. So I would have to take some time to dig into it but its tough when I am already in Duke 3D and UDK4 not to mention my job :) But I think a Turok mod on Brutal Doom status would kick ass man. Some people have tried but they never finished :(

Brutal Turok on the Doom engine would gain some publicity for sure. And something even ppl outside (not just die hard Turok fans) would look forward to. I think it would gain interest easily with the hard work of course.

Guys about Brutal Doom you understand me wrong. I mean, not Turok Remake on Brutal Doom engine, it's impossible, open areas jumping over the abyss. But use Brutal Doom enemy behavior as a result of shooting to them:



and comapre with Turok 2008:

from 19:45  (Turok shooting in Raptor but is not brutal) in 19:52 shooting in enemy and enemy only falling down on ground? In Dinosaur Hunter enemies dies with fantasia :D

Turok Dinosaur Hunter enemies :) have one of the best motion capture in fpp games:

I think more brutalty is okay I mean living in the jungle you have to be a savage. And that last video you showed of the level in the Doom engine is exactly why the Doom engine should be used in such project :D

Combine that level with Turok, 2d sprite dinos, and brutal dooms blood you got something special.

Dinosaurs do blow up in Turok 08 its just only with explosives its called a dino fountain I think? It would be pretty cool to shoot there arms, legs, tails, and heads of with bullets instead of only explosives.

Also, Turok 08 has rendered models already out there. They are made specific for Garry's mod here but models are not specific to where they can work just the coding. Oh yeah I am learning :P

Hey Max Payne is a good reference indeed. Maybe you like the bullet time or the slow mo kill shot. It would be pretty cool to put that stuff in. Turok Evolution had something very similar actually, where you could see the bullet you fired hit the enemy up close and personal.

Yes, but I think here is better place to show my ideas.

I thought about some story of Turok Remake. One of cool my ideas is that Turok is commando and during one mission in jungle (Predator Inspiration) only intro, he is kidnapped and transferred in time to the days of the dinosaur age. I will be add more dinsaurs like nice flying beast Pterodactyl or huge  Brontosaurus. Turok can't and don't want kill Brontosaurus but nice to see it in game.

it probably is good to put them here and this shot looks nice buddy :) That's one of my favorite parts in T1. Yeah I know its early in the game but still that bridge and how you came upon it I liked the transition of it. Cool new pictures the rex is cool seeing to :)

Gun called "Thunder gun" http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Thundergun but it looks like real machine.



It can replace "Alien gun" in Turok game.

I'm still working on mix of Shockwave Cannon replace gun.

Few days I finished Serious Sam first and second games, normal version not HD and one thing what will be in Turok Remake is huge volcano with many lava rivers inside like here:

The tree top photo looks pretty awesome of course it looks almost identical to that Turok screen except modern. Yeah some lava is always good in Turok :) I know there are some lava parts in the games specifically in Turok 1 I remember. Sounds interesting though  8)

Those look pretty awesome actually I like the look of the catacombs and treetop areas looks like Turok was ahead of its time with ideas :) You know another game the did a tree top village is Brute Force. Interesting pictures man

Guys, do you know some team who can make Turok remake on FC1 engine, with my ideas :) ??? FC has great potential, huge open space, nice models of weapons and enemies, very good engine with quality works perfect on old PC. We can use many original textures from FC.

Yeah Brute Force man, what an awesome game :D I always liked it and the characters are pretty awesome all 4 of them but Brutus is the coolest :P

Guys, do you know some team who can make Turok remake on FC1 engine, with my ideas :) ???

How exactly do you use the Far Cry Engine? I honestly never looked into it before. I am guessing you can build levels in it. What about weapon, enemies, and sound replacing? If these are possible on the engine I don't see it being to hard to make. Even if it was 1-3 people working on it.

I don't know what and does it possible ;) But people make mods for this game. I know Orionhammer try made remake based on Unreal engine but he stopped work.

Yeah we all wish he didn't stop on it :) He had some great stuff going for it to. But yeah that seems to be on pause/cancel. There is always time to start learning and judging by your NFS levels you could probably pick it up quite quickly...Also, remember udk4 is free but cry engine cost money :)

Guys, I watched Turok 2008 gameplay. And my thought after this is, that Turok 2008 have very dark and sad colors :( all dark, not cool water like in DH (Dinosaur Hunter :), and not ancient temples, catacombs etc. But like wrote Adon Unreal Engine is nice choice :) But I think right, that if we make remake and don't earn money on it, it is free, but when we want earn money we need buy liceanse???

But my vision of Turok Remake is this same DH but with a little modern graphics and few more ideas (more weapons more dinsaurs etc ). Without any plot like in Turok 2008.

Few days ago I finished Crysis 1 and I love this game. For me best jungle ever created :D If ever Turok 1 Remake will be made, only on Cry Engine 2. Simply stuff from me:

I wish. Mix of Duke Nukem 3D humor, real guns, inspiration was movies like Command, Predator etc, game crysis 1 open location jungle feeling and city levels like Las Vegas, L.A and of course Area 51 :)

Well, seeing as how Id Software and Bethesda killed it this year with Doom, there is always hope. I actually hope they could have gotten the game license for Turok. But, well, it is in the hands of Night Dive Studios now.

Nfsfan83 is back :) I check all new posts, but check this is only my free idea how can be look new FPS in my style(Duke, Serious, Doom):

This is only my improvisation what kind of fps game, I will be make If I can. 90's vhs action movies feeling, lots of great music in ost, real guns, places what we know and love, a lot of humor and main character with balls of steel. Many explosions and shooting effect like in Soldier of Fortune 2 game. I love FC and Crysis games so Cry Engine 2 is my favorite engine for it. Game will be have open big areas and city leveles and closed cool places with nice interiors :)

List of chapters in game is on image but if quality is too low here is it all:

CHAPTER I  -  CARRIER - TROPICAL JUNGLE - ANCIENT TEMPLES - VULCANO   
CHAPTER II  -  LA DOWNTOWN - HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD - UNDERGROUND BUNKER
CHAPTER III  -  HOOVER DAM - LAS VEGA STRIP - AREA 51 BASE
CHAPTER IV  -  ALIEN SPACESHIP

It's only my never dream come true :( I make story and I'm trying to interest some of polish developers. But like you know nobody want making and even talk with someone who is not in game industry. We'd need fps which join all great elements from Far Cry 1, Duke Nukem 3D, Serious Sam 1, Doom with many real weapons like M60 or M16M203 :) with open levles and city levels.
