Well yes and no its a side project right now that has been on hault for months now. There is a lot more for me to do its crazy. I'm thinking about getting a team together to share my project with and we can work on it. I'm currently way to busy to even think about it at the moment.

At this point I have invested a lot more money in this project than the time I have to invest hehe. Preparing a back-end I guess all for fun aye.

He has been posting in multiple threads from my knowledge xD

Maybe it is because the image is not actually 1080 though its the small shot out of the editor. But its possible the textures are on a mid level rather then extra high since we want to run this on lower end machines to :P But when its in 1080 its a bit better of an image then this I think. Unreal has different settings low, mid, high, and epic this is on medium I believe. Its probably what I will use though. I wish I could use Turok 1 graphics though :P I'm probably old school hehe

Nice work, the textures seem a bit low-res though.

I really like that tree and creek area Duke looks great.

Duke64 I have some idea, if you can extract  level from Turok Remastered and open it in 3ds than you can make it in UE4 :)

That is something I would like to see to :)) and I noticed that the boss levels are already in a model format.

Testing can be fun to but this hasn't reached that level yet hehe but I will reach out to you guys. I hear it can be easy and fun to we could test online if I simply send my project cooked as a game we can connect on it. Anyways, long ways from this there is still a ton to do and I know its a bit early here. This is the only place I will be showing it though for now so these are early shots just posted here :)

So in what ways do you plan to make it similar to Turok?

I wish it could be Turok ;)..  But without saying to much. Its not actually Turok but the similarities could probably be seen.

I like to think about jungles, action, temples, ancient areas, caves, magic, reptiles, dinosaurs, fantasy, some horror, and of course classic styles of levels. Where you can go back to the start of the level if you want. Both Level 1's from Duke Nukem 3D and Turok Dinosaur Hunter those types of layouts inspire me.

If you needed any testers you can count me in :) I think its a great idea though and yes that tree is pretty good there and nice creek to go with it. So in what ways do you plan to make it similar to Turok?

Oh I didn't know it was a pay what you want kind of thing i'm going to check it out now thanks for the info. I am getting it now :P Yeah I know Bullet Storm that was a pretty fun game to, I had it on xbox 360.

It could possibly be a commercial game if its not actually Turok. If it is Turok i'm not sure how well that will go over commercially. But if it is something very similar to Turok I see things going over much more smooth since its not tied into the existing companies and all that.

But one of the publishers i'm in contact with use and are already quite familiar with Unreal and they have a partnership with them. So with my specific contacts udk4 also makes most sense. But yeah man really that is my one problem with udk4 you need quite a strong high end PC for it. I think all engines should have some option to lower requirements and pc power to our liking.  It would be awesome if we could just choose minimum requirement specs for our projects.

I understand, but like I see here: https://www.cryengine.com/get-cryengine minimum is 1$ :)

Remember also that CE3 working nice on older PC, U4 is new engine and need strong PC

I love Cry Engine 2 and it is perfect for Turok 1 Remake. Unreal is cool but I never see nice jungle on this engine, but for interior levels is great:

Check here (polish game Bulletstorm on Unreal Engine 3)

Duke64 it can be commercial game or some fan made project???

The problem and my only problem with the cry engine to me is it costs money monthly to use it to my knowledge. I don't want to pay for the time I can spend in my project rather pay for things to improve it if you know what I mean. Udk 4 is open sourced you can even change the source however needed. Unity is open to but I don't like unity very much. I do wonder if ID's new engine will provide workmanship for us also.

Another pic here :) But seriously I have only spent about 4 hours in this level that's in the pic. So its still far from done.
