![]() It could possibly be a commercial game if its not actually Turok. If it is Turok i'm not sure how well that will go over commercially. But if it is something very similar to Turok I see things going over much more smooth since its not tied into the existing companies and all that. But one of the publishers i'm in contact with use and are already quite familiar with Unreal and they have a partnership with them. So with my specific contacts udk4 also makes most sense. But yeah man really that is my one problem with udk4 you need quite a strong high end PC for it. I think all engines should have some option to lower requirements and pc power to our liking. It would be awesome if we could just choose minimum requirement specs for our projects. ![]() Remember also that CE3 working nice on older PC, U4 is new engine and need strong PC I love Cry Engine 2 and it is perfect for Turok 1 Remake. Unreal is cool but I never see nice jungle on this engine, but for interior levels is great: Check here (polish game Bulletstorm on Unreal Engine 3) http://level-design.org/referencedb/index.php?/category/91/start-180 Duke64 it can be commercial game or some fan made project??? Posted by: Duke64« on: May 02, 2016, 03:09:57 AM »The problem and my only problem with the cry engine to me is it costs money monthly to use it to my knowledge. I don't want to pay for the time I can spend in my project rather pay for things to improve it if you know what I mean. Udk 4 is open sourced you can even change the source however needed. Unity is open to but I don't like unity very much. I do wonder if ID's new engine will provide workmanship for us also.
Another pic here ![]() ![]() Posted by: Nfsfan83« on: May 01, 2016, 03:37:59 PM »A little suggestion

![]() Posted by: Duke64« on: April 30, 2016, 02:51:19 AM »Hey guys well I have been messing with the unreal engines mapping for quite some time now. No not a ton but since we last talked about it on this forum I took a small break but I have been back into it. I am heavily invested mentally and financially by financially I mean over time alot of cash has been put into this whether it be assets or help from people. I'm not looking to make a buck just want to make a fun game hehe.
Also, i'm not looking to just use assets instead I have invested in tools that create the things I need. That means I can simply make them to my liking. This pack is a nature pack and it does not come with meshes but instead it is a nature creator. Its a powerful tool baby. Anyways, i'm seriously looking for team members on this project. I am a level designer/modder in classic games not exactly a programmer for unreal engines and what not. But I have been learning blue printing lately with or without help this project will come alive though even if its a free game. I could possibly have the pitch proposal presented to certain publishers. If we make a good game we could do it. But we can't be just looking for a quick buck. Its not exactly Turok no but I like to think of Turok while I make it ![]() Well anyways, here is some photos but these are pictures of when I first getting back into udk 4 this year. ![]() ![]() You must see all the pics, here is the post to see all the photos and story behind this level https://duke64nukem.com/2016/04/24/a-forest-sci-fi-level-in-the-udk4-engine-free-spirit/ but just for you guys I will give an image of my second level since I been back into it ![]() ![]() I will keep this updated. Free Spirit is a name I thought of because that's what the level design was at first. Now I'm thinking it maybe can be something ![]() ![]() it will be so much work but patience is a must. |
