T2 kub's mod - Mod for original Turok 2 PC Multiplayer.
(1999 one, not "remaster" - Nightdive's T2 Multiplayer is very different than the OG)

Version: 1.0 beta (pre-release25)
Download:
Put all files to the game dir and use 'Turok2MP Launcher - kubs mod.exe' to launch the game.
It may be considered by your antivirus as virus as it changes variables in the game memory.

YouTube presentation of some features of the mod:

It allows to configurate server in many different ways that allow you to create your own custom gamemodes. It also introduces many custom admin commands that allow to do crazy stuff on the server in real time.

Examples of custom game modes:
-SUPERHOT (Time moves only when players on the server move)
-Gungame (You kill you get new weapons)

-TF2 Mod (Each character in the game has settings inspired by the classes in TF2)
-Humans vs monsters (Some characters are turned intro big monsters with special powers/weapons)

 Other features:
-Unlocked FPS, removed input lag, better mouse movement
-New weapons: some ported from singleplayer, some from N64 version, some new custom ones (razor wind, tranquilizer gun, sunfire pod, P.F.M. layer (mines), AirStrike, DinoRidingGun and more).
-You can enable water weapons (torpedo, harpoon) on the surface or even flame thrower in water.
-Cosmetics / cool efects that can be set by server admin (
). Potentially could be won in tournaments or temporarily during the game.
-New console (~) commands for everyone: set weaponfov, set camerafov, fov (max fov is now 135), spectate, fpsmax, set weaponsize
-Admin commands: now you can have admins/moderators on your server with ability to kick players and change level and many more. (kick, set level, and many more - full list on https://www.nexusmods.com/turok2/mods/7 )
-Ability to balance weapons (so it's no longer only plasma) - thx to many configurable options for server host - custom damage, custom drops, custom weapons, and few more custom server settings...
-Mini-games: eg. Fight in the dark (admin can enable/force blackout for every player), Big-head mode, stickman mode and more
-Custom characters: editable size (height, thickness, length), speed, height of jump, custom starting weapons for every single character.

Potential future features: (to-do)
-Ranking & stats
-Even more new weapons (AI's weapons from singleplayer - dino's grenades, lasers, marshyworms' vomits etc).
-Collecting arrows (picking them from the ground) and other features from singleplayer.
-Support for "quick" choice of weapon (currently you have to use "normal" to get "singleplayer" weapons).

Okay I see your point - we mainly use plasma. But don't tell me playing plasma is not skill based. Turok 2 is game of movement, it's not just random shooting. You can learn how to play against plasma players. As you can see in viedo below I'm not randomly spaming with plasma. It's not that easy to hit someone with plasma - you need good movement, not just aim. I could use other weapons - I just love plasma gameplay. And come on... Other weapons are way more "spam and pray" than plasma. Plasma is not a problem - just other weapons needs upgrade. Other weapons are also useful. I know players that are good with other weapons, and it's hard to use plasma against them. I agree that weapons should be more optimized but not at the cost of plasma. That's why we asked every aspect of multiplayer to be settable and that's why they should give beta pass to some regular T2 multi players so we could help them optimize all weapons without hurting plasma! Btw. It depends on servers settings, there are many possibilities to make other weapons more usefull: lower starting HP eg. 60, so plasma still can be one-shot killer, and it's easier to kill with other weapons, increased damage multiplier, lower pain limit, lower speed, etc.

Chirac asked me to post here what I think about remaster. Well.. It all wouldn't be needed if you added to beta testers us - instense T2 PC Multiplayer fans who play this game for years. We asked you for this but u gave beta pass only for people who have played it long time ago on n64. Well played - I feel spat. Maybe my words are too strong - but thats what I feel - sorry :(
I will consider playing this version only if Plasma Riffle is one-shot killer (no matter what part of body it hits). You should add 2 types of weapons (n64 & PC) - eg. plasma from PC multi: one-shot killer with delay and no-auto shooting. And 2nd - n64 plasma: 2shot-killer with auto-shooting feature (Plasma works like this also in PC singleplayer. They changed some weapons specifically for multiplayer. And we asked you to include both - singleplayer and multiplayer weapons at least in level editor, so we could make our own specific gameplay oriented maps). We also asked multiplayer settings to be fully setable, so everyone can make his dream settings.
IMO Graphics looks awful. So I have no idea if I could be able to enjoy this even if gameplay was fine. http://steamcommunity.com/id/kubpica/recommended/405830?tscn=1489833891

Not possible in the PC port, and in the n64 isn't really co-op, you're forcing a multiplayer match in single-player maps, which is why portals don't work.

IT is possible in PC version and also portals work but you need hack gamę memory!

I hope that this "spiderman glitch" will STAY in remastered multiplayer - it's like game mechanic! Please also add this "multi-air-jumping areas" to level editor. I can't imagine T2 Multi without this glitch! I hope movement will remain the same - air-jumps and "bunnyhoping" / bouncing off ramps (sloped terrains) - maybe soon I will create video also about this.


Hey I tried this jump in the single player (PC) but it didn't work. Maybe I am doing it wrong, I tried to jump when something was above me on a wall is that how you do it?

It works only in multiplayer. (The one shown in 1:22 second of video is possible in SP but it's much harder than in MP)
