Serious Turok is a mod that adds more dinosaurs, monsters, weapons, ammo, map changes, and more detail to the original maps. In an attempt at making it hectic like Serious Sam games. But not identical.

I'm only done with level 1 here and it didn't become a thought until I finished it up. This is going to be one of my back end projects, slowly over time it will be added to. I'm also looking for anyone who wants to help if they wanted to speed it up. I'm going to take some time to finish this since I have other main projects. But that doesn't mean I won't put much effort into it. I will release here on forum only soon just this map for now. There are a lot of ideas for this mod and other things going on for it. Any ideas let me know what could be cool in a madness mod.

There are some other changes involved also. And more to come I will update list.

Additions:

///Mag 60 weapon added/// This was done awhile ago but only now did the textures finally appear on it in game. (Thanks to Snake Plissken) Snake and I together got this model in game. The model is the mag 60 from Turok 2 (not from a remaster) placed in Tal'Set's knife hand. Mag 60 still needs some minor work.
*Snake got the textures to appear by editing the model. It was driving me crazy and he got the textures to appear with model modifications to the model and creating a kmat file. Huge help thanks! When I was adding it in it was good except one thing, textures were oblivion lol. They needed a kmat and the models faces were not quite right to go into Turok even though they appeared on the model in blender/misfit.

Some ammo adjustments:
*Shotgun Ammo: 100 explosive shells and 100 normal shells. 50 with no backpack
*Pistol and Assault Rifle Ammo: Can carry 500 bullets
*Tek Arrow ammo: Carry 30 Tek arrows

Biggest change: The green pillar maze has crashed down in certain spots opening that part of the map a hole lot more then it normally was.

*Start with Chronosceptor weapon since we are revisiting. And give it more ammo

You should put the hut with baby raptor from Jungle Falls map in the start again. Cool idea Turok blast away action.

Look good, but pistol/AR and normal shotgun shells seem like they are gonna be useless.

I will consider this and make sure that I keep that in mind because its going to get more hectic from here more chaos lots to think about thanks. But I want shotgun explosive as your main weapon love this weapon. The ammo will drain fast when surrounded.

Random thought I had lol: I also think there should be much more Purlin in one of the levels I think the jungle will be like a Purlin fortress here.

I wonder if I can help with this mod. I neen touching on the editor some it should be easier to edit an existing map rather than making all new. Hmm let me know if something I can do. Maybe I will submit a map to you!

Wow this is fucking awesome let's do this shit. I'm working on level 3 Ancient City now will send pics soon. Man but you already knew I was on board with this and you been helping hands on with the mapping. I really like the photo there can I share to the FB group? Okay will show you some pics of the level edits and send you map when done. Nice idea though dude. Lots of action Turok action. It may be like a back end project for you because you are greatest Turok mapper xD but i'm going to push for this one because its more simple to do for Turok mapping ;)
Sixty you really going to like my idea for Ancient City man. Working on it now. So much is going to be added but just so you know I am doing it here is a early pic ;) Yes I copied you on jungle falls by placing the triceratops bone on something haha

That looks really cool. Okay Level 3 is yours ;) Updated Description please submit it so I can see it for quality and make sure it aligns with the second map, if you know what I mean to keep the pace for dino's and weapons.

Awesome dudes. Sorry haven't logged in sometime. I always check the facebook and here haven't logged in  much. I would like to see level 4 the jungle be packed with Dimetrodon. And some of the levels to have things in them from other levels all mixed up.

I was working on the level 3 revisit for this mod still am but yeah T2 has taken over for now. But yeah have't forgot about Turok 1 at all. You actually should just release this like Deathsphere said and build on it later.

Figured I'de spit this one out for now since its taking long, and update as time goes now. The ultra plan is to do this to every level in the game. Anyways, hope you enjoy V0.1. More coming soon. There is possibly bugs in the map Idk I have no testers for this right now. But I think its good. Be sure to help make me aware of any issues. So keep in mind that this waws one of my first maps for Turok lol I was still learning a bit during this one. I actually used this map to learn quite a bit. But I think it offers just the right amount of extras so far considering.

I didn't really bug hunt but it seemed okay in that part. You should definitely add more to it. I think it would be a really cool once has all of the levels. Lot of fun. Like the addition where the shotgun is. But the maze part is the best.
