Hello everyone, i think as i haven't saw any welcome section in the forum i could use this to introduce myself.

So i really played a lot of Turok games in my life, since i was a child i have memories of playing Turok 2 and Rage Wars with my father, brother and sister so i can consider it one of my childhood games (however when i was like 4 the game freaked me out sometimes i have to admit), but when i grew up i learned to admire the saga because it has a lot of awesome things. Here are the games that i've played and what i think of them:

N64/PC Turok 2: I prefer the PC version because of the controls, but i first played N64. This is my absolute favourite in the saga as it's CHALLENGING, so much challenging so i have a lot of fun when i play it, even when im tired of completing Port of Adia over and over again :P
I think the Soundtrack is gorgeous, specially my favourite track, River of Souls. My favourite level would be the Hive of the Mantdis because the enemies are really painful to destroy, it really brings a lot of action to the game. The story is not that interesting but the game doesn't need it, it's superb anyway.

N64 Turok 3: I remember this not being my personal favourite as the first level was a bit strange and so different of what i saw in Turok 2, like more human-enemy-based story and a military stage that i didn't found that good but still i really liked the weapons and i think that to have 2 paths in the story is a good idea, but i didnt like what they did to Adon and Joshua because our adventure in the game before felt like a bit useless afterwards, you know. Still, not a bad game.

Rage Wars: This was so different because they were really a change in the concept of what i was expecting it to be but it was somehow so addictive and i enjoyed it a lot, unlocking characters and watch your collection afterwards felt so great, and it wasn't easy task!

Evolution: I played the PS2 version, and it wasn't the greatest of the games i've gotta say because of the flying missions, i personally hated them, but oh, well. The feet missions were not bad at all so the game still has a pass.

Turok 2008: I bought it but i never played through all o it, and i was enjoying it more than Evolution but i just got a bit tired of it i've gotta admit, also i dont know why but it didn't felt like turok, it was more like a generic shooter campaign but with dinosaurs, i don't know if you understand me.

But even after all, i like the series and i hope we see more in the future.

See ya!

PC, how are you all playing it? Is there a specific client somewhere?

And I'm also wondering if it's possible to co-op the storymode with a friend?
Not possible in the PC port, and in the n64 isn't really co-op, you're forcing a multiplayer match in single-player maps, which is why portals don't work.

IT is possible in PC version and also portals work but you need hack gamę memory!

Hi everyone, I've just registered to this site and first of all I'm glad to see there's an active Turok community out there! I played the hell out of Turok 2 on the N64 and it seems I've been looking to play it on PC, how are you all playing it? Is there a specific client somewhere? And I'm also wondering if it's possible to co-op the storymode with a friend? I've seen a few videos of people doing it but I've never managed to find out what platform they're playing on or how they're doing it. If anyone could give me a bit of clarity I'd really appreciate that, thanks!

You can find my post with nick name Xms. Im using several nicknames but you might get used to it. So Finit here and Xms on Steam forums.
Currently digging into retexturing of Turok and its slow process but time doesnt mean almost nothing in Lost Land so its fine. As sidenote:
Merry Xmas and Im glad to see some fellas also here (Dakuwan and Shadow).

Hi all, 64 recommended i post here to let you all know whats up.

I have been a long time Turok fan, melting away the hours of my youth stabbing beetles, watching blood sprite shoot from necks, and laughing at the campaigner. I spent massive amounts of time just observing the character models and textures even when i had no idea what i was looking at. In short i fell in love with the premise, art style, and gameplay of Turok since then. Which brings me to this...

Some very talented and dedicated people (myself included) are working towards improving our beloved Turok, by increasing texture resolution, improving model detail, and in the near future, new maps and modes hopefully, and maybe even some engine improvements*cough*shadows*cough*Bump maps*cough*.

I will post here as well as steam forums to keep everyone aware of the progress.

Enjoy, AND BEHOLD AS THE PHOENIX STIRS IN THE DIM EMBERS OF THE ASHES OF THE PAST!!

That's good to hear because that's exactly why I made the forum. There was no place for us to rally up for all of the games. A place for all of the games, comics, and other historical stuff Turok has done. Most people don't realize the full Turok story I hoped to create a place we can connect like this. Welcome trust me all of us felt the same way before not seeing a Turok community :/ I see Duke nukem, Doom, 007 communities so why not Turok kicks ass. Thanks for joining and sharing new Turok :P

Well welcome, it is quite hard to find Turok stuff at least before this site. But search no more. Glad to have another fan of Turok here and hope you enjoy :) I felt the same way when I found this forum excited to see people so deep into Turok instead of just casual interest.

These days I've been into playing God of War Multiplayer, but I gave it a rest because of TV problems. It gave me time to play Seeds of Evil and remember how much I enjoyed the game. Also, I remembered how frustrating some enemies were to kill! *Wastes all my ammo on a Juggernaut* xD I don't know how active I will be because I don't always post a lot on forums like I use to, but I'll always check in.

The lore of Turok and the backstories are interesting. Of course, the weapons are always memorable. The Cerebral Bore is one of the most sinister weapons that I've seen in a game, but I really love the Fusion Canon and Chronoscepter. Also, a simple shotgun with explosive shells is always fun to use and I can't forget the Razor Wind. I hate how it gets stuck, though. xD I love the creativity with weapons in games.

Welcome man subscribed your youtube channel to nice metroid video :)

Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'll upload a lot, though. I mainly created an account because I had a G-Mail for a while and I wanted to talk to some other players from the God of War: Ascension Multiplayer. I may randomly upload something, but I don't have FRAPS. I'm being cautious about downloading programs after the other month, when I had to reformat after a BSoD/corrupt system files. SNES9X can record but the AVI files are massive. I'll figure it out.
