Wow I know this site also. Pretty sick mapping interview dude! I listten to music also while mapping and yes lyrics are confusing so I also only listen to ambience that's pretty cool to know :) Also, I agree 100% with you on the question whether mapping is competitive or not. I feel just like you its others who make it that way not us! build for the LOVE and love will show. Great interview I'm sharing this with my Doom friends it motivates me.

xD I bet you all can't wait to see if there is an announcement for Duke Nukem on December 1st by Gearbox. I'm actually curious what it is. If its time to make a new Duke and they do good then awesome. If they do bad then well time to sell that ip to devolver or something xD I don't think its hard to make a good classic fps hopefully they don't over think things. If they announce Duke I got to say I would be excited. Doom and SW2 have laid out a blueprint already. So its really not hard people tend to overthink things. I'm not saying I expect a good game and a good announcement. Just saying it would be nice if Duke doesn't fail ye.

Never like that about the n version. I love them more hen anything though none the less, but yeah. Let's save the babe by putting her out of her misery when we all very well already know that they can live another day if rescued, not like there ol'yellers. I would love to know who came up with the idea and why, doesn't seem like something that would be removed to make the port on n64 more... Able to happen or something. :)

Yeah when its Gearbox its Gearbox and they haven't really given any reason for us to be confident so is what it is I don't blame. They should have expansions yes I have them too, but I want to play them on there new engine but overall yes give me better written mp I am happy. Even with the followers of the game they're walking on egg shells trust me. But I think some people and including John Romero are more interested in seeing the og cast back. Like for me I am really happy to see that and Level Lord is like an influence tbh.

If the definitive collection was another simple and plain Duke 3D I would say screw that xD But if they were to put DN64 and Total Meltdown included and release those and have mp for those. Oh quick buy. Zero Hour is a quick buy for me also.

By "definitive" I and others are thinking they might mean a Duke pack that will include Total Meltdown psx port and Duke 64 n64 port as seen in thte tweet (with the help of eduke32). Pretty much the HTTK collection but for pc and consoles instead of androids. People are already suggesting Zero Hour, Land of Babes, and Time to Kill things like these.

For this world tour game, I know the expansions won't be in here Randy said "they aren't 20 years old yet" not tht good of an excuse but I personally have all the expansions on eduke 32 and megaton already. Since this offers better mp built from the ground up with bots and stuff count me in :P That alone makes it better if its true now add a new episode by original cast :)

Nearly 20 thousand people like the official post on facebook, that's a ton of people for another Duke 3D release. Megaton announcement didn't even reach this numbers. And John Romero xD


But you guys not only ones who also have mixed feelings seems it just depends ya know.

It doesn't include the expansions?  Seriously?  For all my cynicism, I still thought it would at least be complete.  And Randy's already alluding to yet another "definitive" edition in the future?  They're seriously going to try to double-dip with a 20-year old game that's already had two prior digital re-releases.
