I just thought I'd share this (mainly for Dino). Another random Evolution promo thingy:

They're brand new and only $0.99. Problem is that postage to Europe is $48.50!!!!

I mailed Digital Press and asked if they would offer a more reasonably priced postage. Sadly, they refused as it's against their policy...

So, if your American or rich these look like a fun wee thing to add to your collection.

Turok Comics Discussion / My First Foray into the Comics. :)

So, I got a good deal and I'm now the proud owner of issues 01-30 of Valiant's Turok: Dinosaur Hunter as well as the yearbook.

I've read them in digital format before but I couldn't resist getting my grubby fingers on real paper.

Up until recently, the only comic I really bought was 2000AD. It's quite fun going back and catching up on some of the more quirky American titles.

Next stop - grabbing the 4 Dark Horse comics before going back to finish my Valiant run.

Don't pretend you don't have one!

My favourite is the stegosaurus. I like that there's still a lot unknown about its way of life. I love that it has ostensibly useless things on its back and I love that its tail is potentially deadlier than its head.

They're kind of like cows from a long time ago. I like cows.

So, what's your favourite and why?

PS: Honourary mention goes to the pterodactyl. I know its not a dinosaur but they're very cool.

I went to look for a boxed GBA Evolution in good condition but I failed in that endeavour... Instead, I got this. Kinda random but thought some of you might be tickled by it.

I see the Dynamite comics get a lot of flack. Are they really that bad or is more a case of people not liking something that's not their usual taste?

Other Games / Armorines Remaster

Do you guys think Kaiser and ND have the balls to make a remaster of Armorines? As far as I know, it uses the same engine as the Turok games so it wouldn't be impossible for them.

Personally, I would love to see that. The game had so much potential and with some tweaking could be a really fun game. Also, that might lead the way to a Turok Weapons in Armorines mod - I'd pay for that!

I just posted in thread about me selling my N64 collection and regretting it. I especially miss my Turok 2 with music CD and stragegy guide.

It got me thinking. Do you guys have anything Turok related that's really special to you? Do you have and issue 1 Son of Stone? Do you have a signed copy of your favourite game in the series? Or do you still have that dogeared copy of that free strategy guide from the front of a magazine that helped you way back when in your time of need??

Share your treasures...

For the record, the only physical Turok item I still have is a bog standard copy of the GameCube Turok Evolution... Not the greatest treasure but it's something, I suppose!

Info/Help / Is There an Official Wiki?

I know there is the page over at Wikia but I couldn't find another one.

Is the Wikia page considered the official Turok wiki or is there another I've missed on something like Mediawiki?

Just curious as I'm not a fan of Wikia and their philosophy/business model around wiki information ownership and content creator rights.
