To finish the week I wanted to do it with another brand new old map from Kaiser. That's going to be a thing I do now on my yt, small series for different mappers with possible reviews as I've done here and do it between doom, blood, duke, and turok mappers. I wonder who I will do next i'm not even sure yet. That was fun as hell.

I did see it come up more than once so I have to say I personally don't say 'I can do something better'- I would say something like 'that's awesome nice job' but that's just me. And with myself I will do something to my appeal - I would do something more up my alley for style what I like to see.... I would say that or something of that manner someway. But I suppose that's how it goes lmao aye. I also don't think about copying or anything of that matter. I've been through it all lol and no lie. So I just view it as "that's what so and so wanted in there mod". For me any other type of thoughts don't work.

I think it is good to show stuff. Because Turok modding is young and it needs a extra push from us, it didn't start in the 90's like Doom or any other game they're modding today. Something like Doom modding is fully grown. Turok modding is young and is taking formation based on how we handle it right now ;) Occasionally sharing is good and I agree with that it, definitely depends on the persons choice overall though.

One of my favorite user levels now that was tough and some close calls :)

Going to copy my review from the video description:

Title                   : The Attraction to All Things Uncertain
Filename                : Kaiser_12.wad
Release date            : August, 2004
Author                  : Samuel 'Kaiser' Villarreal
Played with GZDOOM 100% secrets no saves xD

This is a pretty tough level in terms of difficulty and not in a bad sense, it was very strategic. There seems to be a little more enemies than the classic Doom 2 maps but not overkill. Ammo and health is quite scarce and you have to use them smart, and in a strategic way or you could be out by the end (when you will need it most). Causing as many in-fights as possible helps. You have to evade some enemies at first while you explore the exterior for goodies and ammo to prepare you for battle. I think some demons are placed not to waste ammo on right away but to make you move as part of the gameplay here. There's also an interior part of the level which leads to its own exterior parts. Gives a sense of being open but connected, which is a familiar formula. I might say that this level reminded me some of a Doom 64 type of layout with the mazey routes, you can get lost at first with the backtracking before knowing the level. It still gives the classic feel overall keeps you on your toes even though there isn't always an enemy at first. The design and layout of this map was above average and has great structure. I played and died many times, I ended up finding all the secrets. It felt rewarding to win. I would say that this map would be a great map to play in co op Survival also, having more players and spiking the difficulty would probably offer some great gameplay.

I didn't really know where to stand on this either. Usually in the past I never shared anything, especially DN3D mods/maps. I've shared some wip stuff for Turok, but also kept a lot of it under wraps.

Just wanted to add in that its not much about doing the same things, since well its a free world we do what we want for fun and its all fun times good times. Just wanted to say there's no negative energy there when we talk about it.

This right here is nice and true. My question originally is do you think its best to show some things and keep activity going, or basically go underground while we work? In Duke 3D I didn't reveal anything and that's actually what I'm used to doing overall. But that community has more active mappers/modders. So I was thinking do we need to do this for the time being to keep up with the program and not appear like things get slow for Turok?

To me, sharing pictures motivates me to continue working on a map and sometimes i get ideas on where to go next from other people seeing them.

Yeah that too it motivates another mapper or modder to do something or do more to there map or whatever it may be its some form of motive.

In my opinion if 1 of my good friend plays once and really likes it, that is better then a bunch of plays- call me crazed but I am at peace with that.

Nope I don't think it is crazy at all far from it, just different.

Well makes sense its fine either way. But posting there will give the chance for others to see to

(You just had to get passed 666 posts huh? Jk)

Well that's cool I know but that there is a type of thing I'm not really concerned with honestly. A reason I would share is just to add to the Turok mods, help show activity maybe. When I make something for Turok I think of here and showing good friends. In my opinion if 1 of my good friend plays once and really likes it, that is better then a bunch of plays- call me crazed but I am at peace with that.
