I have challenged myself to make a map a day in Doom from scratch and then convert it to Turok 2. I want to make one map each day until 7-14-17 Friday. I started Monday 7-10-17. I’m only doing this for fun without a care in the world but the plan is to make a fast quick level that still proves visual enjoyment and decent detail around the maps. But only giving myself the day. Keep in mind I work most the day so these have to be extra quick but I think I can make a decent map quickly.

I did this today in 2 hours. I made the map in 20 minutes with Doom... I can make something fairly decent quickly I think with Doom or Duke editors. So I figured make a quick map no longer then 20 mins spent on it and just make it raptor fest.

Then imported and finished ready for Turok 2 raptor fest :P given the map is rather basic it still has some presentations.
It was just meant to be a quick map on the side.

Well it is what you see heh Jdoom's doom 2 map in Turok 2 raptor fest and I must say its really good I hardly added any structures at all I liked and you're never alone always attacked its great! Groovy vanilla simple styled map nice! I agree really like the maps that don't need a ton of design to make it 'good'. Even though I make a lot of maps with heavy design I always think gameplay is the most tedious and profitable part at the same time.

Its not necessary to build huge crazy detailed maps for a good time. Gameplay is better than graphics and design. I'm not saying completely disregard design but you know I really like vanilla like maps with just the right amount of extra flavor on them. Anyways, that's just food for thought. Made a map in 1 hour here it is. Almost done :) Its much better when you're not stressing how the architecture will be just build baby build for fun as you go.

Sorry for not answering much lately at all. Even on othere things. Here I added a few structures for the t2 version :) enjoy its in your PM. Might want to revise it a little just in case.

Use a wordpress site it has free storage for images and you can change the plan and pay for more space. Or you could just make multiple free wordpresses to store pics. Plus its a blog you could even make the blog based on your project.. Just my opinion.

Thanks, it worked.

I changed all those door textures to CDOR4BB and did both H & V Mirror.

It was right there in front of me all along and I didn't think of trying it... It looks much better.

Yeah np haha it happens a lot when the answers are right in front of us, it happens to me a lot at least :) I can't count the amount of times that happens to me xD

Hey that's a neat photo with the color matching. I was away on vacation just got back after the 4th.. and i got to check this level out now. You made a really cool level here im trying to find the purple feather I see it but cant get it yet. Really cool new monsters so far i like the yellow shockborn most :) Lol can you make a revenantborn? jk

Great map so far my bad for playing it late....

Found the purple feather!! Holy shit the part of the level it unlocks is great it has open space. Awesome finish very good level.

I see you are talking about two of my favorite enemies here lol. I think they mostly did it to save some room on the rom. But this hell knight is way better than the new hell knights imo.

The bloodborn i think has a lot of potential! Can't wait to see its updates. Hey I actually saw the Fireborn boss test a few weeks back. You were headed in the right direction with it for a start.
Sounds good let me know if you need testing for the mp stuff I'm going to try and be around just pm me on here I got it set to high priority on my email. Nice to hear you have other projects nice.. but still hope you make some progress on this one soon. Want to see all new maps from scratch like this one.

My other projects will go into beta before I update this one to v2 (exception of the mp version). But don't worry the other mods will release really soon sure you can help :)
