I'm hoping I'm not showing you anything you don't already know about, but I noticed that sometimes the Viewer decides that it only wants to render the part of the model that is furthest away from the camera. I don't really know how else to explain it other than saying that the nearest faces turn invisible.

As some examples, this is from pod02_03_flighttraining, and this is from pod01_01_ttjungle (it's way more noticeable when you're actually floating around the model). Again, sorry if you already knew about this, but I thought that I'd bring it to your attention.

Also, I'm super excited for a Garry's Mod-esque actor menu.

I'm guessing it was a marketing decision. Acclaim's Turok comic was due to hit the stands the month after Dinosaur Hunter's release, and it's possible that somebody at Acclaim went "hey, we have this comic with this Fireseed guy, let's change the box art so that people will conflate the two." Pure speculation on my part, of course, but as I said, entirely possible. There's not much different between the two anyway.

Well, #27 was just after Birthquake, and I'm pretty sure most Valiant titles went a little off the deep end after it ended. :P

The one without the cover is the September '96 issue (it says Volume 88 in the lower corner of a couple of the pages :P ).

These are nice finds. I like the older weapon wheel from the other issue and that the Knife and Tomahawk would have existed alongside each other. And the overly-large-"Iguana" rears its head yet again. ;D

Speaking of the lighting, I have a question for either or both of you: how broken is the PC version's lighting? It's something that's always bugged me. All of the foliage looks like it's fullbright, the muzzle flashes don't reflect onto the environment, and some textures, like the temples in Chapter 6, are glowing pretty obnoxiously. The console versions don't have these problems. So I'm wondering, since you guys are poking around in the game's files anyway, what's different with the PC version? Was it that there was some code that never made it during the porting process, or is something just not checked to "yes"? :P

EDIT: Also, I think maybe Revision A was re-uploaded in place of Revision B. Unless I'm just missing something, which is entirely possible. :V

There's this one currently up for bid. If you want it just for reading, it seems to be in pretty decent condition, despite the seller's deprecations. :P

I used a program called Game Extractor. It supports the PC versions of both Dinosaur Hunter and Seeds of Evil. Doesn't open everything, though. Just the sounds for Dinosaur Hunter and the sounds and textures for 2.

I haven't taken the time to listen to everything, but is it possible that the Chronoscepter uses the Fusion Cannon's firing sound? They're similar enough, and the game pitch shifted its own sounds all the time anyway. :P  For what it's worth, I couldn't find a specific Chronoscepter sound from the PC version's files (unless it's named something incredibly ambiguous).

One of my favorite parts of this issue is that it shows off one of the enemies cut from the game. It's listed here as an "Iguana," but it's awfully huge if so. :P

My post reads how I initially submitted it. The forum would put a notification in my post if it had been edited, at any rate.
