It took me time to figure out how to open it, but I finally got to play it.

I felt stupid for taking so long to pick up that last key next to the exit portal, but I already thought I had that one and I was looking for it. xD

I was talking about "Trigger on Death" in the Things Mode at the top of my last post, but it's been a while since I last used the program and I forgot the name.

That's something I couldn't figure out around the time I was using the program a lot.

You can tag each enemy to the same which would mean you have to kill them all for an action to happen. Or you can even make each enemy have its own action making it spawn different waves for each kill. It is possible for sure if you want it so you have to kill a wave to spawn another, just tag all the enemies in the wave the same way.

Is it "Spawn on dead thing" or whatever the action was called?

Anyway, I'll try it soon. More needs to be added once I start again, but I already had the basic layout for the whole Blue Key sector mapped. The next will be for the Yellow Key and then the Red, which I had in that area with the huge Turok inspired pit. That area will become a teleporter to the Red Key room which will be elsewhere.

Once you scale the pillars, you're not going to want to go back down again, so that's why I changed that idea a bit. The pit will still do damage it you fall, but there will be an escape portal which will land you back before the area. It would be a dick move not to add a way out, when you come so far. xD

I didn't play MP a lot, earlier. I was playing shithouse, so I went back to Bloodborne and started a new game on that. I wanted to start a new game, anyway and I couldn't wait.

My connection's been shit, too. I was doing good the other day and it had to cut out for a minute. I got back into that same match again, but lost all my points. Fucking Optus! >:( I did hear on the news that other Internet services here were slow... For a first world country, Australia sure as hell stays well behind the times with shit. -_-

Anyway, creating those enemy waves sounds like it would be tricky. Especially if you want the death of ALL enemies and not just one to trigger a chain of events. I have seen in the game how there are many of those and how weapons also spawn. I've payed more attention to the map design as I've played the levels. I can leave events to later like I would with lighting, but I like to test play as I go.

I'll take a look at Hell's Keep at some point. I'm kind of at that point where I'm wanting to do something on Photoshop, but too lazy to do it. xD It's a bad habit.

As long as people are still playing the vanilla game?... I just haven't done anything on it for a while.

I want there to be an enemy death that opens a door to the next area, like a mini-boss kind of fight and I don't know how to do it.

And if it's possible, to spawn that enemy you must kill after killing a certain enemy in the first wave of attacks. I'm not sure if this Doom does enemy waves like the new one? It needs to be challenging and not something someone can skip so easily.

I have been playing a lot of MP. The controls are so awkward on PS4 and I put it on Tactical, before. It was had to jump and aim on Default because I have to move my thumb from Right Analog to X while jumping and aiming. This is where it's probably easier on PC with mouse and keyboard, but I don't regret getting it on PS4. I'm still salty about Steam's fuck up on the Dark Souls port and I don't really want to buy anything until Turok 2 is out.

I am getting better and learning that splash damage from rockets is me best friend, seeming I suck at aiming! xD Rocket Launcher seems weak, considering it's a fucking Rocket Launcher! LOL!

Hellshot and Vortex Rifle are good, when my aiming isn't bad. I'm one % away from being at Echelon 5. I still can't use Cacodemon tongue, so I just went back to Baron. I do like to try other demons and weapons because it can get boring using the same thing.

Just some wins from the other day.

The Hellshot has become my new favourite weapon. Single shot weapons aren't easy, but the Hellshot does a lot of damage. The Vortex Rifle is also good, but much harder to aim and the laser sight giving away your location.

Also, Kinetic Mines and Threat Pulse seem to help.

I can't seem to figure out the tongue attack on the Cacodemon. I couldn't get it to work. :/ I'll just stick to Baron and Mancubus for the time being. They're demons I know how to use. I don't even get what happened to the Revanant's jet-pack before, when I gave that a try.

What disables it? It is like the Mancubus getting overheated when firing too many missiles?

Try pressing the + and - buttons on keyboard to get hud to show up. Also nope Doom 64 Ex maps wont work I don't think. Doom 64 EX is the true to the original game and this one is a Doom 2 wad specialized and Brutal.

Using only fists.

Thanks!

This also has the original Doom game on it, which I didn't know.

Sometimes the little window gets stuck on startup and the screen behind it is black. I don't know why it does that, but I can still play. I just have to Ctrl, Alt & Del and try again until it shows up normally.

I would love to see how my map would look on this, but it's not possible yet, isn't it?

I don't know about you guys but I refuse to play my favorite games when its flawed like these little issues on the emulator versions it erks me. They are small issues but they tear at me if I play these games I don't want to see this, it completely throws me off its a no no for me and the controls are clunky way more then they were on an N64 controller. I tried playing long ago I got 10 minutes in to Turok 1 and quit because its missing pieces on some of the models especially on the shotgun.

I would only recommend these options: Play the PC version with mods that make it run better, plug in the old N64, or wait for remaster :) Going with Turok 1,2,3, and Rage Wars on emulator is asking for a clunky and pretty terrible experience of Turok besides the nostalgia.

Yeah, the weapon sprites were another thing, though it didn't bother me at the time. Also, there was the phenomena of the Wall Hack. xD

I heard the old PC port wasn't as great (music not working after a certain level, along with other bugs?), but at least the Steam version doesn't have those issues.

No emulation is going to be prefect, from what I've learned over the years. You're either going to get game breaking glitches or the minor stuff that can either be ignored or tweaked until it's not longer an issue.

I think the only perfect emulation I ever got was with the 2D Metroid games, especially Super Metroid on the SNES9X. Anything 3D is bound to have a lot more problems because of all the requirements.

Everyone seems to have different experiences with emulation, but we can all agree on how flawed it is. It can never fully replace the console or system that it was originally meant to run on.

Just downloaded it before.

How do I get the Ammo and Health HUD to display?

I can't seem to figure it out.

I had P64 long before ordering my laptop from Dell. I made sure that I wasn't going to spend $1600 for something crappy. Even on my older computer (before that died), it ran fine. This freeze issue with the T1 ROM was a common problem. An LPer on YT by the name of Eexecute mentioned that his ROM might crash, when it played Level 3. I think it did, too. I have to re-watch his whole LP.

A location it loves to crash a lot in, is the part in Ancient City where you lower the stones down, that lead to the underground area with Poachers in it (before the warp).

I've had to resort to running from the area as the stones go down and try to get to the nearest save alter, because if I save state it, it will crash the second I reload. Even trying to run from the problem area, I can still get caught by the freeze.

This also can happens in The Lost Land and sometimes The Ruins. Falling down a bottomless void in Treetop Village can also get the game stuck. As for P64, I think I heard about a virus... I haven't had a need to download it in years (more than 5).

Turok 2 does work better, though. The only bugs I've noticed are the Flashlight and Flair Gun not working, but they're insignificant.
