How to make monsters and enemies work and attack is pretty simple I just had no time earlier.  (Starting with the basics I will update this list to get into the more complex things) Added new guide to op.

1.) Go into actors edit mode and cntrl+click the monster.

2.) Right click the selected monster and go to properties.

3.) Go to Spawn Flags 1


Basic Monster spawn flag selections:

Solid: Makes actor solid

Projectile attack 1/Projectile Attack 2: Good for enemies with weapons or any enemy that fires a projectile. Monsters are specific to them though, so if your monster isn't firing any projectiles on projectile attack 1 try to use projectile attack 2. While testing switch between them on different attacks to get the correct 1.

Snap to Floor: Makes the enemy/monster stay on the floor even after death. You want to choose this one.

Cast Shadow: Cast's a shadow for the monster

Use Strong Attacks: Makes enemy use the stronger attacks

Use Weak Attacks: Monster does weak attack

Hit ok and close the properties tab. Save map and now the monster will work.




I did even attach the map here. I thought it would be cool to start trying to use videos also to go with text. This is my first one I thought it was a small task so good for a first video guide.

Ahh yes I forgot to add the get started part in the op. I added to original post now to be more specific. Yeah hopefully if anyone needs help the ppl here we can try to help some. Yeah google analytics xD Turok user map, Turok mapping guides, help with Turok mapping, Turok editor, black screen test play lol. Hey I would also like to note that you can simply type "Developer 1" in the console while the game is launched.

Welcome. I can help with this. I also moved this topic to this board the other area is for general non Turok mods ;) Like Doom 64 maps or say a Shadow Man mod. But all Turok 1 modding/mapping can go here even questions for it. Glad to see another mapper I will take a look myself and then explain to help. You make some Quake maps? Sounds awesome that is the type of thing you could release in the other board in the general board if you felt like. Give me some time here though I will post soon about this.

It might be cool to see hollywood with its textures but I don't know I have played that level more then I can count and I like a difference plus Turok textures are better looking. I like temples, caves, and jungles more then modern city. Some good city textures we could use to make a city map if anyone wants to help get the textures ready. Turok 3 city textures :) If anyone does it put them on the catacomb walls textures perhaps.

Ancient Hollywood was much harder to build than this map though guys because of the oddity of making a sector based map out of Turok models had to bend a lot of rules xD I did in this map also but not as frequently as I had to do there. But I did not rip hollywood with anything its built from scratch. But we have been talking ripping models using lemmys tool lately yeah.

64 you made history with this map xD Maybe not everyone would like to admit that but its true dude and its actually really damn good considering how to make Turok maps.

Well cool that's awesome! Just glad some players seem to like it. But I just like to make maps even if not many people play it. Love to do it a passion of mine. Anyone who make a map makes history too heh and ppl who made the editor always go in my credits xD

Hey this is where I got the name of my map from ;) Its not based on it I simply like the name. Diddy Kong Racing level.

I would gladly contribute to a site like that. Of course I couldn't review my own lol. Well I am also a reviewer at http://www.scent-88.com/mapbase/maplistings.php for Duke 3D maps though I haven't done a thing lately I still planned to get back to that. Its just that I'm always so active doing so many other things atm lol. But I could help put together a site like that with you aye sounds awesome.

Well obviously he was in the hub as a statue. :D

Right, there probably is already ripped model files of Zelda oot out there where we wouldn't even have to everyone does that one xD but it would be cool in Turok though.

Yeah Dinomite it was Lemmy's tool indeed. Models drive me mad xD

I imagine Wizpigs head is in the ground because the model is actually an actor/statue? Its an actor for the game since the textures actually turn colors while you progress through the game and then the mouth opens. Don't quote me on why its there though lol. It wont be hard to pick it up and move it into place right there on the wall though xD
