I noticed that there was a bit of a change on the multiplayer lobby... Has anything else changed in the last couple of days?

I haven't really played it... Not just because I got my Dark Souls 1 game running quite good now, but no one seems to be playing when I check. Ever since Daylight Saving ended here, my time has changed a bit.

I thought I'd make this topic separately from the other one, so that anyone from Nightdive who is reading these forums can easily find reports on any of the bugs that are still causing issues.

Any bugs that are resolved can be edited in this main post as a reference (below) by Myself, Duke or the Mods.

Encountered this BS, yesterday... If you're wondering what's attacking me, it's another turret behind that door (not the one on my left because I destroyed it). This was entering the second quadrant.

I'm quite happy with my multiplaying at the moment, because I'm getting a decent shot with the Shotgun and I got a few good kills with the Plasma Rifle, which I didn't use the scoped mode. I'd have to say that Plasma Rifle takes even a bit more precision to aim because the beam is a bit more narrow than the Shotgun's buckshot. The art of Deflection Shooting is a fun skill to practice. Beats spamming, though spamming is effective in dire situations! xD

A question about Plasma Rifle (NOT the rapid fire version)... Does a standard shot have more AoE than a scoped one?

All these years, I've been kind of wondering this... LOL!

Does anyone find that the cerebral bore is op? I had 250 ultra health and the cerebral bore killed me in 2 seconds. I don't remember it being that powerful. Played with someone who only went after the bore and spammed the hell out of it. It was a very spamming bs match and I can see how the bore ruins mp. When you get 10 one shot kill heat seeking bores to spam. I think the weapon should spawn ever 3 minutes and only carry 5 shots. Not spawns every 20 seconds with 10 shots. You can end a match real quick and always win and spoil the fun just go for the bore if you want to be a shameless winner. To bad I still beat that guy good try.

Weapon Damages that should be modified some to help balance:

Shotgun: Only does 20 damage I think it should do like 35-40 (40 is still less than the original damage but 20 damage feels like a pistol) The shredder buff renders the weak shotgun nearly useless.

Grenade Launcher: I have to hit a player like 3-5 times to get a kill with a grenade? This makes the weapon useless unless you fnd two players who are about to kill eachoher and steal there kills after they are hurt otherwise don't even bother with this weapon anymore. Grenade Launcher should do 2 hits to level with the plasma at 75 dmg (thanks Duke)

Nuke: Has a very wide radius it should be trimmed down some just a little bit not much.

Cerebral Bore: Kills no matter what health you have I think that's a total balance killer. Make it do like the plasma and only do 75 damage imo. I shouldn't just bea ble to SPAM the bores with NO SKILL. Just walk around and heat seek one shot with 10 shots. Only need to pick the weapon up 2-3 times and you will win. Screw skill....... Make it do less damage (75 damage) or give it 2-3 shots and spawn it every 3 minutes if its an auto kill.

Yeah, the Cerebral Bore is OP and I just mentioned this on your map thread. I came across a someone the other night who had this and the Nuke. Obviously, he had a few Nukes because I was the first player to join and who knows how long the host's match had been started for... I only left after because someone had a match set to 5 Frags as the limit and it was over before I had a chance to enjoy it.

Spam is a real killer of multiplayer games. 

I never played the old MP, but I'm not bothered at the Cerebral Bore being a one-shot killer in this, seeming I would expect a weapon like that to be. After all, it's drilling and then blasting brains all over the place.

It's how easy it is to spam and pick up which I agree needs to be changed. All you gotta do is camp in the location and presto! Of course, you can outrun it but it does get pretty fucking annoying when that's all you come across in a match with a dozen others.

Speaking of Shotgun...




I got some good kills with it in these matches that I just had. I'm trying to limit my Shredder spam (use it as a last resort in tight areas or flush out those snipers taking cover >:D) and I also avoided getting the Cerebral Bore too many times. Myself and Brahms had a good shootout when we were the only players in Vulcan's Forge. The only thing I camped for up there was the Full Health. The Shotgun was all I needed.

I would've thought the Shotgun did more damage and that it's damage reduced over distance... Anyway, the Shotgun is still a good weapon and does require a skilled aim, even if the buckshot is wider covering. It's not a long distance shot. It's all about Deflection Shooting in this game, too. It's not always easy, but it's much more satisfying when you kill with skill.

As much as I love an easy kill at times, I'm glad you didn't include the Cerebral Bore. It does become annoying when spammed and the mulitplayer needs a good balance with its levels and weapon drops. I've been guilty of camping for it and spamming, but I still prefer using other weapons and spamming can kill a multiplayer. It's one reason why I left God of War: Ascension.

I'm feeling the urge to get back into mapping, but the first Turok's seemed more complicated than Doom 64's editor.

Yeah actually its really good to go to the Death Marshes first for exactly this reason. It also makes it so you don't have to return for the Primagen key once you get the talisman in Death Marshes then go back to the River of Souls. Btw River of Souls is one of my favorite levels for its level of confusion and its very large the scenery changes a hole lot. Love this level but it was a pain in the arse that's for sure lol.

Yeah the Caverns Blind Lair level map is my favorite mp map I mean it is well balanced and it has connectivity that's great for rok matches. I like the Death Marsh mp map also but it has no Plasma Rifle...Do you guys notice that the game has more of the N64 maps inside the folder: levels/n64?? It seems to have the rest of the N64 mp levels there.

I'm going through there on Hardcore mode. Damn room with the spiders/leapers and Full Health in that area that leads to the first graveyard... I got trapped in there and I couldn't open the doors after shooting the switch. I was outside spamming the Shredder, so a round probably hit the switch and then the doors perma locked when I went in?

Doing the Hive has benefits if you have the most trouble in the Lair. The only trouble is, you have no Heart of Fire and I know there's a huge lava lake in the Hive. If I can remember, it can be traversed without... You just can't pick up weapons/ammo without needing to walk over the lava.

I like the Lair and the music. Dark, creepy places out in the middle off nowhere are my favourite. I always dread that underwater labyrinth, but it seemed a lot smaller. I still got lost trying to find a key, until I realized I should've checked the same area again, seeming I did with all the others. xD

T2 even tells you your in for a hard time on level 2. Adon says "The River of Souls..." with disdain and disgust ..  :-[

The level itself can be a hard time, if you play in number order and without getting the good stuff from the Death Marshes, first.

(I'm giving Hardcore mode a try, but I still have Hive of The Mantids to do on my Normal play)

On my run of this level on the remaster, the Oblivion portal didn't seem to respawn ammo. I did get the early Grenade Launcher in that palace area (also the multiplayer map area)... The water was instant death after the first skip, but it was worth it! xD

Speaking of adding more... I hope the multiplayer gets a Mantid Hive and Primagen's Lightship map, soon. Those would look good and I was watching some of Vis' videos, last night (Hive of The Mantids map).

PS: I love the Death Marshes map and the Lair of The Blind Ones is cool, too.

Wasn't there a Mantid skin in the old T2 Multiplayer?

I never really played it, but probably only a few times with my brother, back in the day when playing split-screen on a TV was a thing. xD

Also, is the delayed shot on the Charge Dart in multiplayer meant to be a thing? Not the Charge Dart that only fires the blue lightning that ricochets, but the normal one?

Oh man who wins this fight though? I think its easy but at least the little guy is not afraid hehh.



I'm a pretty bad shot and usually resort to spam, but I did get him good when he followed me through a portal in Adia and I fired a standard shell from my Shredder. It was a closed in portal where the ricocheting shrapnel works best. That was a funny moment.

When in doubt, Shredder out! xD

Apart from a few ping spikes tonight, it wasn't bad and I had fun playing.
