Sometimes I forget the Purr-Linn are immune to the Cerebral Bore in Turok 2 and wonder why the damn thing won't fire.

Literally every time I play Turok Evolution I get the Next Weapon/Previous Weapon buttons mixed up and cycle the wrong way when trying to get to a certain gun.

I don't always miss ledge jumps in Turok Dinosaur Hunter, but when I do, It's because it was a huge gap and I forgot that side-jumping covers more distance.

Turok 3 is certainly a good game on it's own merits. I feel it's mostly overlooked for two reasons: One,  It came out near the end of the N64's lifespan, when most people's attention were on the upcoming consoles. Two, it's the single furthest departure from Turok's roots. Turok is about a native american fighting dinosaurs, pretty much every adaptation of the story/character since the 1950's heavily focused on this... except for Shadow of Oblivion (well, and the short-lived Dark Horse comics). It's like Halo without aliens, or DOOM without demons. I'm not saying this in itself is a negative thing, but it can be a turn off for some people. I remember my dad renting the game from Blockbuster right when it came out, and quitting after an hour of fighting zombies and dogs (hey, that just meant I got to play it instead!).

Anyways, yeah, the Flesh Eaters are metal as fuck. The segments where you fought them in Turok 2 were some of my favorite parts of that game, it was really neat to see them develop into the primary threat. Having the choice of two protagonists with different weapons/abilities is always a nice choice, even if I pretty much only choose Danielle. I'd say more shooters should take a stab at that, but a good deal of them have a hard enough time creating one interesting/entertaining protagonist!

I think I like that "Press Start" screen with a close-up of Tal'Set's face more than the one in the final game. It's so badass it could be a promotional render for KI Gold.

Here is another one of my comics for you to see :) I really like this cover art though.

Man, #31 - 33 was a weird arc. Pretty much all of Dinosaur Hunter's stories had their share of crazy fun (Chichak and Ripsaw using Triceratops to harvest Marijuana, Captain Red and his crew's antics, Turok going undercover as a fake miracle-cure peddler to track down a chinese druglord who owns a Bionosaur) but after issue #27 things just got strange. I think at this point Truman just wanted to see how much crazy shit he could put in the comics before anyone got a leash on him.

The absolute most ridiculous arc in my opinion is still when Turok, Andy and Regan are captured by a tribe of Nazi Women who plan on putting Hitler's brain in Elvis's frozen body. Oh, and Bigfoot was working for the Nazis.

How many comics do you think you have and do you have any doubles? heheh

I'm having a hard time choosing between the Auto Shotgun and the Fusion Cannon. You get the Auto Shotgun very early on thanks to a secret area and it remains useful for the rest of the game, especially with explosive shells. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's also the first fully automatic shotgun in an FPS. The Fusion Cannon is Turok's BFG, plain and simple. Pull trigger, everything dies. The gun looks cool and the explosion it creates is AWESOME! I'm gonna have to settle this with a coin flip.

Fusion Cannon wins!  8)

Honorable mention goes to the Grenade Launcher (I'm a sucker for things that shoot bouncing explosions) and the Tek Bow, since it's pretty much Turok's iconic weapon along with the knife. And who doesn't love exploding arrows?

I'm imagining Turok shove a grenade into Kane's mouth, then chuck him into Mama Scarface's mouth. Explosive dog treats!

I'm also glad you guys brought up Mama Scarface, can't believe I forgot about her in the first post. She's a very sympathetic villain, more so than Primagen. Hell, she isn't even a villain, she's just an animal doing what animals do, then Turok barges into her nest looking for a radio, kills her babies and slices her eye up. Now she just wants revenge. She gets bonus points for her second fight being pretty much the best boss fight in that game.

^ y'know, I always thought the thing in the O was just a blurry image of Oblivion. But today I finally realize it's a freaky mutant fetus. Eugh.

It's pretty ambiguous as to what happened to Joshua. There were a handful of story tidbits in Turok 3 surrounding Adon and the Council of Voices that hinted at something going on behind the scenes, especially concerning the Yvree character who takes Adon's role. It seems like the Council doesn't want Josh to return for some reason, but we don't really have anything to go on. With all these plot threads, I wonder why they made a prequel to Dinosaur Hunter instead of continuing this series of events.

If I could choose, I would've gone with a Turok/Shadow Man crossover game. Have Joshua's spirit end up in Deadside after being possessed by Oblivion, and Adon teams up with Michael LeRoi to save him.

On the bright side, at least some logging companies are planting seeds for the trees they cut down for lumber, so that in the future the space will be re-occupied by trees.

Which will also probably be cut down, and then seeded again. Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'~

Gotta love dem frogs! Lizards,reptiles and amphibians are cool.

I actually own a Russian Tortoise and she is a really great friend. I saved her from a local petsmart she looked healthy but miserable :/ So I took her home I figire at the pet store its a routine with no real affection shown to them. But at least they take good care of them. I will have to show some pics of her soon :)

I feel like we're gonna need a pet reptiles/amphibians thread at this rate.  ;)
