Like I said, this is the first time I've really played the game seriously, so I haven't had a lot to say before now.  Also a lot of the conversation seemed to be dominated by bickering over MP, which I haven't played, and am less interested in anyway.

I got it working well enough on Linux with a newer version of Wine, so I gave up on trying to get Windows to behave itself.  Still hoping for a proper Linux version one day, though.

edit: I think the marshes may be the most linear level, but more importantly I think it has the least of that "indistinguishable connective tissue" I was talking about.  Instead of identical hallways all over the place, you have stuff like:
- a broken bridge submerged in sludge
- rocks to jump across
- ledges to traverse
- overhead walkways that you can look down from and see an area you were just in
Stuff like that.  I think pretty much everything in the level is recognizable, instead of just hallway #1234987 and hallway #98453.  Which one goes where?  Better check the map -- whee, it's like I'm playing a top-down shooter instead of an FPS.  Whoops, there's a teleporter, who knows where the fuck that goes.

Okay I'm just ranting at this point I'm going to bed.

Hi Smoke you've been rather quiet through all this opening day chaos. Did you load T2 and play it on a Linux build? I thought you asked about that sometime last week. I liked the open feel of the death marshes too. And it's the least confusing of the levels. Thing is that back in the 90's when gaming was new to me, there seemed to be more of a challenge to finish a game, like this one. It was harder because I had so little experience with these games. I was having fun on the n64 controller and it was much more difficult with that and soo confusing.

Now days I'm a bit spoiled and over entitled with all the games I have played and am enjoying now one on top of another. I take for granted all the effort involved in someone making this game. Not as much as most people but still, I do take it for granted. Turok certainly challenges a persons memory perception and that's no lie. I've been using you tube to help me back track through the levels. In '98 when I had T1 on n64 I didn't even have a computer. bwaaaaa!

Great Game I love it. Good to catch ya - Gazer

Just finished the campaign for the first time ever.  I'm kinda underwhelmed.

The graphics are great, but there are way too many samey corridors.  There are reasonably distinctive locations, but they're all tangled up in loads of indistinguishable connective tissue.

The weapons are cool, but combat seemed to mostly amount to shooting something in the head and then proceeding to the next corridor.

To be honest, overall it kinda felt like a poor man's Unreal.

Would you be able to pin point a favorite level?

I can't fully answer that because I don't know your pc hehe and I'm certainly not the best with specs. I will tell you one thing both of those are higher than what I have. I have Nvidia gtx870 and it works just fine.

I won't be playing now since I was told my pc is to old

Who told you that? I don't know if you are thinking that is what I said though... I'm just saying it has to be spec related since only a few are seeing this and others not. But didn't say that means a pc is old unless someone else said that and Idk.

I have to wait intil the next update to play T2 cause of an error that appears

Yeah it is with intel because only some intel pc's at certain specs will work I believe. It would be cool if that got fixed for anyone with that issue sorry to hear that.

This game is very moddable though I'm really liking that can't wait to see what comes up. Already digging in files almost everything can be modded/adjusted and shared again like T1.

happens  when you start the game  the screen goes black and nothing happens when you go to the bar down below  says 150  when you hit the x on that it closes the game

that what happens when I  start the game    seems it only effect people with intel cards  cause when I read the comments everyone of them says intel cards  hopefully the update that I heard comes out tomorrow  so that way  I can join the  fun

WoW @ Alicia she's talkied more in 2 days than she has in 2 years. Now we can't shut her up.  ;)
They're mostly good guys around here - lol - but don't bring 'em home to daddy.

I am confident that some guys in the group here know, how to adjust weapon damage. And I do believe that Kaiser and Co. will get us some kind of server config/setup/browser/dedicated/fixthelagg thingy. As with all things it will probably take a little while. I used that CPU set affinity tweak last night and I got a great multiplayer experience, and I won a few matches. I need to test that some more. You guys and gals should test it too and see if it is a solution to some of the MP jaggedness. With a game like this, it takes a village to hash out whats good and bad. And then a few guys do the heavy lifting and create some solutions.

I like that chirac guy he's got some passion. Like Turok - chirac huh - get it? Really though I'm just a noob here and you people have been great to hang out and work with. Now we get to play together, yay  :D

Duke where's that server at, I'm gonna plaster you all over those tooty fruity walls. :p
