I like them all and Death Marshes is the runner up but my favorite level would be Lair of the Blind Ones level 4. Sure there are a lot of cave mazes but it has Fireborns, skull switches, and when the levels open the areas are quite big and well designed. Plus ahh the music is my favorite too. Great atmosphere changes from water, caves, lava, and falling rocks.

I have to say that the Death Marshes is my favourite area in the game.  There's just something weirdly off kilter in the atmosphere.  The utterly black sky probably has something to do with it.  The PC music is great too.

Still waiting for the MP stuff to hit the GOG release.  There's the new beta patch out on Steam at the moment so hopefully that will end up on GOG along with the server browser stuff...

T2 even tells you your in for a hard time on level 2. Adon says "The River of Souls..." with disdain and disgust ..  :-[

The level itself can be a hard time, if you play in number order and without getting the good stuff from the Death Marshes, first.

EDIT: Including Breathe of Life to farm from this location:

PS: I love the Death Marshes map and the Lair of The Blind Ones is cool, too.

Yeah actually its really good to go to the Death Marshes first for exactly this reason. It also makes it so you don't have to return for the Primagen key once you get the talisman in Death Marshes then go back to the River of Souls. Btw River of Souls is one of my favorite levels for its level of confusion and its very large the scenery changes a hole lot. Love this level but it was a pain in the arse that's for sure lol.

Yeah the Caverns Blind Lair level map is my favorite mp map I mean it is well balanced and it has connectivity that's great for rok matches. I like the Death Marsh mp map also but it has no Plasma Rifle...Do you guys notice that the game has more of the N64 maps inside the folder: levels/n64?? It seems to have the rest of the N64 mp levels there.

It is good to see them being so active in fixing all the bugs.  I wonder if they'll ever go back to Turok 1 and add a bit more polish to that game.  It would be interesting to see what they could back-port.  Things like the particle effects and water reflections from T2 could look good in T1.

T1 still has some bugs that should had been fixed by now. Biggest culcript being the chronosceptor dealing incorrect damage.

(I'm giving Hardcore mode a try, but I still have Hive of The Mantids to do on my Normal play)

On my run of this level on the remaster, the Oblivion portal didn't seem to respawn ammo. I did get the early Grenade Launcher in that palace area (also the multiplayer map area)... The water was instant death after the first skip, but it was worth it! xD

Speaking of adding more... I hope the multiplayer gets a Mantid Hive and Primagen's Lightship map, soon. Those would look good and I was watching some of Vis' videos, last night (Hive of The Mantids map).

PS: I love the Death Marshes map and the Lair of The Blind Ones is cool, too.

Great to see another update.  Can't wait for the GOG patch. Since the game's last update I've had no crashes but the frames do hitch after a while.  It's quite distracting.  Here's hoping it's fixed now. :)

I do a lot of my playing on my gog copy also especially any editing levels and testing mods I find my Gog version easier sometimes especially avoiding announcing to everyone that i'm playing Turok off and on 8 times within 2 minutes lol. Since steam says what you're doing if I'm testing mods means I'm going to be going off and on in case of testing and or mishaps on my end and stuff lol.

Anyways, there is an issue atm where the scorpion Launcher in mp is causing a crash and its being fixed now(only beta branch update). *Already fixed

Too bad steam has a friends list limit when I get some room I'm going to find some of you guys on there aye.

Wasn't there a Mantid skin in the old T2 Multiplayer?

I never really played it, but probably only a few times with my brother, back in the day when playing split-screen on a TV was a thing. xD

Also, is the delayed shot on the Charge Dart in multiplayer meant to be a thing? Not the Charge Dart that only fires the blue lightning that ricochets, but the normal one?

I think so too.  Regardless of the content added to T2 MP Rage Wars would still be a day one purchase for me.

Well It would be nice if they add all that was available on both the console and pc versions.

Even with all that rage wars can stand as its own.

Well, I suppose, if the devs were to make Turok 2 multiplayer fully comprehensive that would impact sales of a subsequent multiplayer game.  So, I think that, perhaps, they might create a competent but fairly basic multiplayer mode for Turok 2: SoE and keep some more outlandish game options (gimmicky skins, expanded weapon rosters et cetera) or even game modes like Monkey Frag aside for future projects (ie Rage Wars PC).

Of course, this is a just a random thought from a random guy on a forum.  I have no insider knowledge!

IN the N64 MP each character had some gimmick, like Adon who had low hp and and fast health regen, etc.

This should be added as an option for multiplayer.

For me, the more options, the better.  One can't have enough choice when it comes to giving a game a long online MP lifespan.

Personally, I really hope to see all the options that are in the PC multiplayer and then some.

Though, perhaps they plan to keep some stuff back for a Rage Wars release.  That way they'd have some selling points that they might otherwise not have...

What kind of stuff you mean?
