They're similar enough, and the game pitch shifted its own sounds all the time anyway.Duke Nukem 3D does this with the holoduke and the portal sound just changes the pitch that is a good assumption. I used a program called Game Extractor. Interesting program to we are going to have to check it out fair price to ![]() Posted by: DarkShadowRage« on: September 28, 2015, 06:51:06 PM »I used a program called Game Extractor. It supports the PC versions of both Dinosaur Hunter and Seeds of Evil. Doesn't open everything, though. Just the sounds for Dinosaur Hunter and the sounds and textures for 2. I wonder if it will support G-Nome as well with it's weird .001 files. Posted by: operative lm« on: September 28, 2015, 06:40:43 PM »I used a program called Game Extractor. But i could never find it. I tried google searching it down and no voice packs none the less voice and sound effects. really I cant find any. I heard them and some pitch corrections but audacity or a few other music production programs could do the job

Posted by: DarkShadowRage« on: September 28, 2015, 09:45:37 AM »Oh damn dude. Did you rip it from the N64 cart? Nah the rom that was already out there, there was a program that let me dive into the rom and i extracted all the sounds. They just need to be pitched down properly in audacity so they sound correct. Posted by: DarkShadowRage« on: September 27, 2015, 10:56:04 PM »Yeah no problem! it should be every sound effect there, but a lot of them still need to be pitched properly and stuff and the like.
Posted by: Duke64« on: September 27, 2015, 10:50:49 PM »Thanks Shadow! I was planning on going to get some of these soon because I need them for my Turok mod on eduke. Now I don't have to struggle with it
![]() Posted by: DarkShadowRage« on: September 27, 2015, 09:43:24 PM »Even though i do own a physical copy, i managed to extract all the sound effects from the N64 rom of the game, only thing is the pitch is off so to get the correct pitch you need to pitch them down properly in Audacity. However you can download them here if you wanna mess with them.
I also have some weapon sounds and campaigner voices and soldier sounds and other enemies that i have pitched down properly here. https://app.box.com/s/usbpntcrgkv0hs3k5f4nhnx6lpx72lkv I updated the download up here and included a bunch of more sound effects and stuff correctly pitched. I'm still trying to find which one is the Chronoceptor firing but no luck Here is all of the Turok SFX https://app.box.com/s/ore46znd5awtu94seinlx5wdxqsywuf5 have fun and enjoy. |
