They're similar enough, and the game pitch shifted its own sounds all the time anyway.Duke Nukem 3D does this with the holoduke and the portal sound just changes the pitch that is a good assumption. Nah the rom that was already out there, there was a program that let me dive into the rom and i extracted all the sounds. They just need to be pitched down properly in audacity so they sound correct.
