I think if it goes to steam it will make it a bit easier to find and contact more Turok fans. We are all spread out it seems but quite possible with this forum maybe we can get everyone in one spot. Plus not to mention it will hit the media giving Turok as a franchise a bump in popularity with today's world.

Looks great, but with low resolution textures and no antisotropic filtering, with the low polygon models makes it a low profit, not the best idea to release on steam until it gets a modern upgrade.

What!? I never would of expected this news. I mean it should already be on steam... Turok 1 and 2 are both great classic games better then a few classics on steam already. This is really great news I am so excited to see this happen thank you Night Dive Studios ! Wow maybe this could help the forum out to with some new way to play Turok. Now we just need the game to do well as a re release and make profit! Turok makes a comeback!!!

Hi EverCoo :) Yeah that's great news and thanks for posting it. I know I was like what! when I read this at first and I was at work in a very good mood smiling xD very excited. I really liked this part :

he said he'd been working on an update of the Nintendo 64 version of Turok before starting on the Powerslave redo, but "put [it] off to the side" for some reason. And then he got to the interesting bit.
"Since now Night Dive Studios has picked up the rights to re-release it, Turok EX will resume development later this year," he said. He added that he's worked with Night Dive previously on Strife, the 1996 FPS that hit Steam last year.

This is an interview with the creator of Turok EX. He says that Night Dive Studios picked up the rights to release Turok EX, which means we might be seeing a steam release!

I got to say, i am pretty excited about this. Turok Dinosaur Hunter was the first game i ever played, and to see the game remastered on PC like DOOM 64 (which i haven't played on the system, though i have played and enjoyed DOOM 64EX immensely), I am happy to hear about this.

Turok EX is a Recreation of the classic N64 game made through reverse engineering, its created by the creator of DOOM64 EX, unlike DOOM64 EX this uses its own engine which incorporates some modern rendering features such as motion blur, FXAA, bloom, and light scattering. It's currently on hold for now but there will be some news on it later this year. He is the creators blog: https://doom64ex.wordpress.com/
