Speaking of the chronocepter i thought up a gamemode idea surrounding it this morning. I came up with a game mode called "Assemble the chronocepter" which is the ultimate gun in the game, basically players have to scramble to collect all 8 pieces of the weapon and if a player has a piece you can kill the player to pick up his piece and build your own, the first person to assemble the weapon and score kills with it 3 times will win. since the Chronoceptor has 3 shots, you will only be able to take 1 shot every time you assemble it, the second you fire it, it breaks again and you have to collect them again. If you didn't some how manage to kill anyone the first time you still have to collect again and get your 3 Kills with it. even though it will nuke everyone in the vicinity it needs to be a kill with each shot assembled for it to count. what do you guys think? does that sound fun to you? I don't think my brain could handle awesomeness of that magnitude. Just imagine the high speed side-strafing knife fights! Or we could have crazy match variants like Chronoscepter Only... I can tell you really want it for T1 :/ Hopefully someone will implement it into Turok 1 using Kaiser's Turok viewer. To me that seems to be a few steps away from being a level editor. That or Turok ex comes with one for it..

Also, did you know Nightdive Studios is also responsible for porting the game Shadow Man from Acclaim? Posted by: Duke64« on: September 08, 2015, 06:19:28 PM »Heck yeah Strife is an awesome game
![]() Hopefully Turok gets the full treatment like Duke Nukem 3D has! But really just being mentioned, brought back to light, worked on, plus the addition of possibly being on Steam is enough I will take it ![]() Posted by: Adon« on: September 08, 2015, 11:42:09 AM »Yeah hopefully Turok gets justification! I searched up this Strife game you talk about and first off I would like to say its really cool looking. Also, it seems like it should of had its own workshop since I seen there are a lot of mods/levels made for it. I guess its another classic fps that has options to create user content. That being said, I really hope Turok gets the opportunity to be on the workshop for all steam users to play
![]() Posted by: Komenja« on: September 01, 2015, 09:25:55 PM »Don't forget, since they're being released on Steam, the games will have a Workshop dedicated to them, meaning people will make and release mods for the titles. Not exactly guaranteed. Most titles on Steam don't have workshop support. For example, System Shock 2, Shadow Man, and Strife: Veteran Edition (all ported by Night Dive) do not have workshop support. I'd be stoked if Turok did get it's own workshop, but I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet. Posted by: The Last Rose of Summer« on: August 31, 2015, 01:50:26 AM »Looking good. I am really hoping for a level editor. It would ensure the everlasting life of Turok with such but either way I am real excited about the remakes of Turok 1 and Turok 2.Don't forget, since they're being released on Steam, the games will have a Workshop dedicated to them, meaning people will make and release mods for the titles. |
