I will love them forever if they do include workshop support. I'll send those motherfuckers a cake in the mail if I have to.

I just hope they do indeed decide to release the tool to level edit on steam with a workshop, it would be game over :D

Turok is essentially built with set pieces but there's alot of them and enough to get real creative with creating something. Level 7 the lost lands for example is nothing like any of the others. Neither is the final confrontation level. There could be a hole lot of stuff you can do with using set pieces because the entire game is made up of them and they vary alot. Another example is the Catacombs which is highly different then the rest to

Vis if they are doing Turok 2 then this most likely will be the same case for that game your right :)

Just wanted to point this out to.

Great news and confirmation that T2 will have it to, I think : )

I've been in Turok 1 enough now to comment a bit about how the levels are made. Here's my 2 cents on turok maps compared to hl, or quake they should be simple to make, no leaks if you know what I mean, the mesh can have cracks.

It looks as if all the individual parts are stored in a numbered system and placed in the map like puzzle peices. I don't mean the trees or enemies, I mean the cliffs, floors everything is pre-built modular peices that get placed together to form the map. It's most notable in the caves, they have a corner cave, am intersection, a 4-way, a ramp, they just keep placing them together to make a big cave.

That is simply AMAZING nothing else I can say. Well I guess I could also say congrats Duke if they do release that because I know you really want a level editor for T1 :)

There most likely going to stick to the original game as much as possible so weapon changes most likely will not be made into this. This is an HD remake they most likely aren't going to add anything new to the game play. But I think it is possible to add mod tools and level editing tools then we can have the option to do this stuff on our own! I think they are mostly making sure the game is closest to its original form. I do wonder if mp will be available or if the mod tools we possibly receive could make it so we can implement that. I kind of want some mp for this awesome game!

You just got to hope for modding availability then you can easily do these things yourself. So modding and option to create own levels is what you really want I think because then you can do everything you wish to see right on your own. From the looks of it they are simply improving on what the game already is rather then changing anything.

They might not respond because they are busy I mean just this month they released System Shock Enhanced and now it seems work has moved to Turok. They go from project to project and in between they are probably receiving new requests for other games or they already have something in the plans. All of this takes away the free time to respond to fans I don't think they personally just didn't respond to you so don't worry :)

On a side note maybe a thread about what we wish to see in the Turok HD remakes would be nice.

Sometime ago I wrote to them:

"Hello,

I do not believe my favorite game will be remastred. I read about it in
net. So guys, I don't know if you answer to this mail. But I try :)

http://www.moddb.com/members/nfsfan83

I try find people to help me make turok new version, but if you doing this,
i want ask you about few things:

Turok is best true schooter like classic doom (with great brutal doom mod)
duke nukem 3d etc. But Turok have It has two elements that are the best,
JUNGLE great levels and dinosaurs :) and of course weapons and music.

So my suggestion is if is it possible add more palms, trees bushes to
levels in jungles, and is it possible to add realistc weapons like this:

http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/members/3/2917/2916096/thumb_620x2000/Turok_screen_new_003.jpg

Adding flametower.

Like alternative weapons (you press some key and you have real guns)

I have many ideas so if you can use please write to me. Sorry for my
english.

Big greetings from Poland. And waiting for Turok 2015 :) Nfsfan83"

But they ignore...of course fan mail :(

I would not want those generic guns in turok to be honest, leave that to modding.
I don't want Turok to be realistic either.

Night Dive is looking for an experienced programmer right now to help on the project. Here's what you need to know.

"Looking for a Tools Programmer - someone familiar with OpenGL, wxWidgets, and Windows Applications would be awesome!
We need help on Turok!"

I will have to get in contact to see if the offer still stands. But I wanted to try and give someone a chance who is experienced in these. Email Night Dive about your inquiry if interested and have the proper skill.

I someone have contact with Night Dive Studios I want in remake split screen for 2 or 4 players deathmatch on 1 screen using Xbox or other gamepad controller. I want many options in game crosshair settings, blood settings,  etc.
They were on a twitch steam when they told me about the trailer I asked them directly on twitter about controller support and they told me it works great with a game pad so you can just ask them on twitter if you wanna know anything.
