So I was thinking maybe there was a way we can assure that of happening by letting them know how many people would be interested.

And we could also release and link them on here for us to see. I am not on steam I hope gog gets good treatment to Still can't remember the password to steam hehe? Yeah I think it said somewhere Turok coming to steam and GOG pretty sure if they made the tool available it wouldn't be strictly for steam. Though that's where the workshop would be ![]() Posted by: Rok« on: November 14, 2015, 11:11:59 PM »If that tool does release there would be some happy Turok fans that's for sure. Not only is Turok reviving but possible to extend on it by adding to it with user content is simply unbelievable. Please Night Dive do release the tool! Workshop or not. Level 7 the lost lands for example is nothing like any of the others. Neither is the final confrontation level. There could be a hole lot of stuff you can do with using set pieces because the entire game is made up of them and they vary alot. Another example is the Catacombs which is highly different then the rest to
Vis if they are doing Turok 2 then this most likely will be the same case for that game your right ![]() Posted by: vis« on: November 12, 2015, 03:53:59 PM »Just wanted to point this out to. Great news and confirmation that T2 will have it to, I think : ) Posted by: Drek« on: November 12, 2015, 03:28:57 PM »I've been in Turok 1 enough now to comment a bit about how the levels are made. Here's my 2 cents on turok maps compared to hl, or quake they should be simple to make, no leaks if you know what I mean, the mesh can have cracks.
It looks as if all the individual parts are stored in a numbered system and placed in the map like puzzle peices. I don't mean the trees or enemies, I mean the cliffs, floors everything is pre-built modular peices that get placed together to form the map. It's most notable in the caves, they have a corner cave, am intersection, a 4-way, a ramp, they just keep placing them together to make a big cave. |
