It is a bit much using mapedit but it gets the job done. Soon I will release the second map that I started, I left it in an 'almost finished state'. But I have not stopped it though ;) I will return to it really soon with fresh eyes.

When we played that co op it was super late and I was just about to call it a night but than tdl wanted to play blood on it so yeah random acts as always. Plus there was only a video for bloodgdx which I do like I mean gdx is good to have I just prefer original so that's what I want to see and play but doesn't mean i hate gdx.

Yep new map is making good progress welcome just check in on meltdown time to time I been on it a lot lately again for Blood.

Current Progress of level 2: Only two days of mapping so far very few hours. The starting lay out is coming together though.

I found this forum from the link in your video description here. I also enjoyed Turok games but Blood is my heart! Nice profile picture by the way I might make my picture as CHEOGH. Nice map very good I like the big secret that was a challenge to get. I already left feedback on the freeminded.

I got a video of playing this co op with a buddy and we tie scores xD

Thanks no problem it was easy to write because the map was good :)

Damnit I wanted to be in that video too.. okay I will maybe get to do it in your 2nd level! I seen the post on your site nice progress.

My Review

Overall:
This map provides vanilla Blood gameplay with a little extra touch on design. Progression is great so ammo, health, and enemies are well placed. There's a few different types of enemies. The level is very non linear with many ways and routes to take and as you progress the level opens even more with exploding walls and unlocked key doors. There's nice secrets in the map and one super secret to get which will help put you above your foes. Architecture is very smooth and well done not over the top madness and not square. Some more shading could help bring the level out more but shading was pretty consistently placed and not over the top. The mapper included many effects like room over room, exploding walls, rising and lowering pillars that give you access. Overall this felt just like the first level of a Blood episode. And is one of my favorite blood maps.

4.7/5

Breakdown:
The map starts in a silent yet eerie zone. You look around and you seem to be trapped with no doors that you can open. There is a door that requires a key there. There's a pillar in the room that actually has a concave that you go into. There is a switch located in there and it morphs the entire room after you hit the switch dead zombies start to spawn and the room now has 3 exits. The mapper did a great job of making the map non linear because you can take each of these doors to continue. Each route one way or the other leads to the other routes. So each route offers slightly different approaches to the map and controls what pick ups you will get first. Its best to go into the swing door first from the first room. Because there is some ammo, some health, and tommy gun ammo. However its not nessacary for the player to go there first. The first outdoor area is very well crafted it also has many entrances and exits back to the other routes. Including an underwater area that takes you back inside which just means more routes! So the best thing is so many routes to go and each one is the same yet brings different approaches in a great non linear layout. That's called classic classy mapping!

Progression is great with ammo, health, and enemies. It felt official there's alot of shotgun ammo so this will be your main weapon through out the level. The level felt like it was building up and opening up more at the same time. It leads up to a pretty nice battle in the end there's no boss fight however. Since this is the first map in the episode it seems to take it lightly. But that doesn't mean you should tread softly. There's cultist's and fanatics around corners ready to light you up with there shotguns and tommyguns, Gargoyles in crowds ready to ambush you, Phantasms creeeping, hell hounds rushing, and many zombies that will spawn from the ground.

In the outdoor area there is a super secret that doesn't really look like you can reach but you can but strafe jumping it. Its very hard to make it back but its worth it as you will get a life seed bonus health and the life leech weapon. Again you don't need these to complete the map but it will help you a lot.

We need to see more Blood maps from you keep up the great work!

Sorry to bother you here on your map but I was wondering is there a way to copy paste sectors? For example I have a special pillar I made with lots of vertices but instead of creating it 10 times again can I copy/paste it?? Every time I do it it breaks the map it doesn't get pasted correctly like in mapster32.

Well already kind of responded to you in discord but wanted to repost here.

Yes there is a way to copy paste the sectors in Blood but its a bit tricky. Mapster32 is an updated build engine of course and operates more free. I'll make a small guide how to do this very soon!

Glad you enjoyed guys thanks. I got lots of feedback from great mappers from Blood also. So if you played it on DOSBox and you saw there was a level 2 " To be Continued" level. I'm definitely doing a second level. Going to actually take some time on it.

I already can't wait to see that second map. The map was really nice gameplay is very solid and not tedious or repetitive. The level is great but I could see you making an even better map the 2nd time around now that you know most of the effects etc etc. Good job.

First Blood user map I've ever tried out and loved it. I was able to beat it on Extra Crispy too :). I missed the super secret (that would have helped a lot) and the fire armor secret. Great work!

2 weeks is the time I started and finished its obvious I didn't do 24/7 I don't count time I get lost into it. So I give my best guess. Enjoy :)
